Finding centre in the storm

We are entering our last month together, my hope is that it will not only serve as an end, but also as a beginning. The last knot to complete the circle we have woven together. May this journey and all of the tools and insights that came with it continue to be a guide for you to keep cycling within for Winter’s yet to come, and anytime you are feeling wintery or dark within yourself.

To complete the cycle we will dive more deeply into our capacity to move towards and be inside of stormy, dark experiences while continuing to slow and create space for inclusion in our bodies.

REFLECTION

Return and reflect on your original prayers and intentions from our first week.

Overview

Connecting our fear and curiosity body

PREPARING FOR THE MEDITATION

  • Recall a recent moment or situation that was difficult and you also feel curious to move towards. We won’t directly be unpacking the situation with this meditation but recalling it to strengthen your ability to face difficult moments.

  • As you recall the situation notice where you might be feeling tension, resistance or fear as you recall it. If it's hard to notice, try writing about it and see what happens.

  • As you notice resistance and recall, think about what you might need to feel supported during the meditation. Gather what you need. Remember your internal web of support as well. Take a comfortable position when you are ready.

MEDITATION

Bridging our fear body & curiosity body

 POST MEDITATION REFLECTION

  • Record the imprint of each of the energies from the meditation and your support team, Where does your fear live, your wise one, bring it all into focus.

  • Who else or what do you draw on when you are getting ready to go into the storm?

  • Make a body map, draw a ginger person and map where each of these entities exist and what they look like.

  • Try the meditation with movement, slow down each section, or break up the meditation into sections and explore more deeply. How does the curiosity/fear/wise body move? How do they change when they become bridged?

  • Record anything else that came up during the meditation, share with others.

MEDITATION

Walking in winter storm wonderland

 POST MEDITATION REFLECTION

  • Record anything that came from the meditation. Drink lots of water, be gentle for the remainder of the day.

  • Recall one thing in your life you have had a timeline around and see if there is a new perspective on that timeline- have you been sinking into it with the right timing? How does that timing actually changes when the winter arrives? Have you adjusted to account for that?

  • Think about someone or something in your life you are trying to heal with, find compassion for or a new rhythm and traction with. Is the timing of where you think things should be aligned? What are the weather conditions of the experience? What is possible at this time given the current environment of the situation?
